Think you can only hold 99,999 frags
i dont think the geo and run mythic like weapons will be as hard to get as normal mythics. The trend seems to be for SE to let the new jobs catch up relativly easy with the older jobs, which is understandable considering they exist since merely 1 year only, which is perfectly fine for me. This trend was seen on their relic and artifact armor. Not saying there wont be any effort involved, but i doubt it would be an effort on the scale of a realy mythic. Afterall they want the jobs to be played.
Everyone thinking about Co.Ops...you know SE isnt going to let you get that shit done in advance if its meant to be a time sink. Prepare to have to redo them all.
Idk, Dancer and SCH Mythic weapons are both acquired the same way as old job mythics, and these were new jobs added long after Mythic was established, and early in their life. So if they're adding new Mythic weapons It'll likely be as hard, now idr the wording but if think said "Mythic equivalent" or something, it might be a little easier to obtain, but I doubt they'll make it too much easier to get unless they plan on dealing with shitstorms or nerfing Mythic requirements.
They have been doing RUN/GEO Differently than other newly released jobs, in both Relic and AF, so its possible, but something tells me it'll still be hard.
It could be partial. Like how mythics you have to already have them all done and just to start and then do them again when you start. Original mythic concept was that there would be huge time sinks but alot of it was time sinks that were current content so those who had been keeping up got something of a reward to make it easier.
I don't believe this was the case. WotG, and it's new jobs, were released before the introduction of mythics.
The WotG version update was on Nov. 20, 2007 (JST).
The first official blurb I could find on mythics was this. The Myriad Arms of Balrahn (02/05/2008) All 20(at the time) jobs were represented in this article.
However, I think it wasn't until much later that mythic actually went live on the serves. But I can't be completely certain, cause I can't seem to find which version update mythic were actually introduced in.
But, it'd be really off for them to do this is Mythics were already live at the time.
Premier Site Summit: Mythic Weapons Unveiled! (07/29/2008)
This was the event where premier sites got to play with mythics a bit. I mostly just recall the guys using Ryu noticing the jumps were hitting really hard, and the auto crit jump idea floating around.
On the same date, they also announced changes to the alex requirement, and that the WS would be questable by non mythic wielders.
The Myriad Arms of Balrahn, cont. (07/29/2008)
Hmmm. ZNM were introduced in the Jun. 10, 2008 (JST) Update. So mythic release absolutely had to be later than this point...
ugh, still can't find which update mythics were released in. Well, in anycase, I'm pretty certan that SCH and DNC had been around for sometime before mythics. So they weren't added after the fact.
This is not true, but I see why you would make this mistake:
* Salvage was released in the December, 2006 update.
* WotG and DNC/SCH were in the November, 2007 update.
* The final BC for Mythic Weapons was not released until the December, 2008 update.
* Tripling ban (which hit the first Mythic holder) happened in late January of 2009.
People forget how long Salvage languished as an impossibru event, and that Alexandrite was released long after Salvage.
I bet that RUN/GEO "Mythics" will not have Mythic AM structure or use the Assault/Salvage/etc. requirements and will simply be high-tier weapons that enhance the jobs in some unique way.
Edit: goddamn, three people.
You guys realize one would have been enough. Twitchy fuggers!
Anywho, seems like I mixed up my timeline. I can't believe Mythics were after WoTG lol. It just feels longer ago... or DNC/SCH feel closer![]()
It's because WotG came out right on the heels of the last mission update for ToAU. People forget that it took like 5 years for WotG to finish releasing missions, and that during that time people continued to do ToAU content because there wasn't much to do in the past besides campaign for a long long time.
That never really improved tbh. The only content that was ever added for WotG outside of midgame leveling and a couple of BCs via Campaign was... uh... Sandworm/Ixion, SCNMs, and VNMs. I would count WoE, but that place was a piece of shit until fairly recently.
Maybe they'll reduce the alex cost or something...
Eh who am I kidding.
That's not balanced for SE, they need their 1-2$ extra per month.
that might have happened if there wouldnt have been a gigantic bitch-shitstorm when ilvl 119 weapons hit the market with delve 1.0 (rendering REM useless). As it stands the Devs will never ever again touch anything remotly in the fart range of any REMs quest/involvment/wtf ever, unless its about upgradeing them to the next ilvl range, they have learned their shitstorm lesson from delve 1.0.
Well. Making something easier to get, is not quite the same as making it worthless.
And they already made one adjustment that made making your first mythic easier. They adjusted ToAU beastking repops. Which isn't on the same level and an alex req adjustment, but it still helps. Those suckers could cockblock you for a loooong time.
i hope they release a set of REM type weapons that uses relevant content as its upgrade criteria. doesnt it bother anyone that our games best weapons come from completing content that is a complete fucking joke, never mind outdated? REM should be dethroned to weapons which take the same level of dedication to complete on par with R,E, and M's in their time. why isnt this something people confront the devs about? or is it actually the majority of the poulation now that is making the devs talk this useless shit about how theyre gonna "ease content over time"?
